SHELTERS and ADOPTION RESOURCES

Project POOCH www.pooch.org Successfully pairing youths incarcerated at the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility, with homeless shelter dogs since 1993.  This program saves lives, both of the shelter dogs who have run out of other options, and the youths who are put on a new path to be productive members of society.

Willamette Humane Society http://www.willamettehumane.org/ This is a well run shelter, with an excellent staff, and adoptable dogs and cats that will make great companions.

Yamhill County Dog Control This is a well run shelter, operated by a dedicated staff including female inmates and probationers that help care for the dogs.  If you are looking to adopt a dog or to donate towards the care of the shelter dogs please contact them, (503) 434-7538.  They are located at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds.
